Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Receptionist within the Adult Inpatient & Urgent Care division, supporting our clinical teams who work at the Peter Hodgkinson Centre. This is a busy post dealing daily with patients, carers, staff and visitors, in person and via telephone.

The site receives a high volume of telephone enquiries, along with dealing with postal mail, deliveries and routine administrative tasks. If you have good communication skills including excellent telephone manner, are able to keep calm, whilst working under pressure, have good computer skills, including outlook and are organised and above all a team player, then this opportunity could be for you.

Main duties of the job

To undertake reception and clerical duties in support of clinical and non-clinical activity, ensuring a professional and efficient reception service is provided for all visitors and administrative support is available to all members of the team as appropriate.

  • NVQ 2 or equivalent qualification and/or previous experience in similar role
  • GCSE English Grade C or above or Grade 4 or above
  • Conversant with Microsoft Office, particularly Word/Excel/PowerPoint/electronic diary management

  • Use own initiative and manage time effectively
