An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, adaptable, and well-motivated inpatient ward medical secretary to provide a competent and efficient secretarial service to the Consultant Psychiatrist and their medical team within Francis Willis Unit.
The successful candidate will be well organised and able to prioritise tasks. They will be proactive in solving problems and queries. The post holder will need to be calm and patient, with excellent communication skills, interpersonal and organisational skills to deal with sometimes complex and difficult issues.
The successful candidate will be supporting the multi-disciplinary team and will be involved in liaising with other agencies such as the courts and MOJ, minute taking for MDT meetings, uploading documentation onto appropriate systems, and other secretarial duties.
Please note that this advertised vacancy does not meet the UKVI eligibility for a Skilled Worker Visa and therefore LPFT would not be able to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role.
Main duties of the job
To provide efficient and effective medical secretarial support to Consultants and Junior Medical Staff and assist in the organisation of the Consultant's workload.
The post holder will be expected to act on their initiative and provide cross-cover/support for other secretaries as necessary to facilitate effective service function
