Job summary

We are seeking a compassionate and resilient leader to join our management team. The successful person will need to provide visible leadership, however we are open to flexible working.

Lincoln and Gainsborough OPFD CMHT comprises a team of CPNs and HCP plus psychiatrists and admin colleagues. We offer high quality dementia assessment and diagnosis.

We deliver care and treatment for patients with psychological and behavioural symptoms of dementia plus to those individuals with serious mental illness.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic, calm and compassionate leader to join our team. Our vision is that our team leaders act as role models to uphold quality standards and work with all our stakeholders to create collaborative working relationships.

Duties will include:

Triage referrals

Ensure timely allocation of work

Audit the quality of work and support innovation and improvement

Provide clinical and management supervision

Respond to complaints

Monitor waiting lists and respond to the data in a proactive way.

Be a point of contact to the team and role model the trust behaviours

Work with colleagues across the division to ensure safe and quality care to patients, families and carers.

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Theraspist with current registration (NMC/HCPC).
  • Evidence of specialised continued professional training (degree level) in clinical practice.
  • Evidence of specialised continued professional training (degree level) in management.
  • Mentorship Module (degree level).

Desirable

  • Management training
  • Masters Degree

Experience

Essential

  • Post-Registration experience of working with children and young people with mental health needs.
  • Experience of managing staff and good leadership skills.
  • Sound knowledge of the national agenda for mental health.
  • Sound knowledge of current policy, guidance and legislation regarding children and young people
  • Sound knowledge of clinical/ risk assessment and understanding of confidentiality.
  • Sound knowledge of community care issues, local health and social structures, functions and boundaries.
  • Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act.

  • Post graduate experience of working in and Crisis/Home Treatment service.
