Job summary

Within Lincolnshire Partnership Foundation Trust, we are seeking to recruit a SQL Developer. You will be working in a team responsible for producing user friendly, innovative and high quality outputs within the trusts various systems, namely the trust's electronic patient record, RiO.

This role has a focus on the further development of our clinical system, Rio. You will be ensuring that Rio keeps pace with any organisational changes as well as developing innovative new ways of displaying and reporting data in the patient record in the system.

The ideal candidate would have the following:

  • Experience of tailoring developments to customer requirements
  • A good understanding of SQL (Advanced Support available to the right candidate)
  • Experience of Working in an NHS environment advantageous

Main duties of the job

Write SQL scripts to develop reports and new functionality within our clinical systems.

Responsible for engaging and supporting the future design of the trust's electronic patient record (EPR) in terms of locally configured reports and functionality within data presentation screens, acting as a system expert and designer making recommendations based on systems knowledge.

Actively seek out new ideas and challenge the boundaries of the EPR functionality through engagement with operational services, analyst function and corporate services, ensuring EPR Developments are fit for purpose meeting local and national care and contracting guidelines.

To analyse and document business requirements for large and or complex areas, working with colleagues across the organisation.

To identify the key business requirements of stakeholders/customers, prepare functional specifications and develop the system to meet these specifications.

To complete complex and technical developments within the EPR as per the agreed specification.

The post holder will provide practical advice and demonstration to front line workers and administration staff.

Line management of colleagues.

The post holder will promote data quality within clinical and admin teams working within Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

To lead and maintain robust SOPs and change management procedures for the development, design, build and edit of automated processes

To liaise with EPR System Suppliers to ensure that developments make best use of the system functionality.

To support the maintain of data warehouse documentation and change management processes.

To protect sensitive and confidential information in accordance to local practices when developing and presenting data reports using SQL.

To adhere to strategies and policies to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and other standards aimed at ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information
