Lincoln CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service) Core Team are looking for a Practitioner to help in providing an 'outstanding' (CQC) specialist mental health service to children, young people and their families.
Are you an experienced and highly motivated individual who can join us in making a difference to children, young people and their families in Lincolnshire who are experiencing mental health challenges? If so, we would love you to join our established multi-disciplinary team in Lincoln.
We provide assessment and a range of therapeutic interventions, working alongside children, young people and their families as they learn, develop understanding and skills that establish good mental health practices.
The post is based at our main team base in Lincoln but you will need to be able to travel independently throughout the County, (and occasionally further) including to our satellite base in Gainsborough.
You will be supported by the Team Co-ordinator, Clinical Lead and Team and will take part in regular, high quality supervision and training so that you feel confident in your contribution to the team and children/young person's journey within CAMHS and beyond.
Main duties of the job
- Act as Care Coordinator under the supervision of line manager.
- Work collaboratively, and promote effective working relationships, with members of the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring effective clinical decision-making, internally and with external agencies.
- Empower patients and their families/carers to influence and use available services, information and skills and act as an advocate where appropriate.
- Provide full assessment and appropriate follow up care via care planning and clinical pathways, individual and group interventions, in partnership with young people/families/carers and other workers involved in care delivery.
- Provide therapeutic interventions reflective of CYP IAPT, within relevant care pathways.
- Work within defined waiting times.
- Provide an extended hours service, as required.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of group interventions.
- Provide a professional, non-stigmatising service to children and families.
- To be able to travel independently and work flexibly.
- Develop Band 5 staff and provide supervision/line management on all of the above.

- Registered with a professional body e.g. NMC, UKCP, HCPC, BACP
- Recognised Professional Qualification in Registered Nursing (RMN,RLDN), Social Worker (CQSW, DipSW), Occupational Therapy or other relevant qualification e.g.IAPT qualification and Counselling
Desirable
- Mentorship or similar qualification in supporting students in practice
- Evidence of specialised continued professional training (degree level) in clinical practice
- Post regiatration traning in supervision
Experience
Essential
- oRelevant post-registration experience of working with people with mental health needs, including those with severe and enduring mental ill health.
- oExperience of managing and developing staff including providing management and/or clinical supervision.
- oExperience of using evidence based practice
- oPost registration experience of working with children and young people and their families

- oPost registration experience of working within CAMHS
