Job summary
The South Division has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Matron at our Croydon Directorate. The post holder will work collaboratively with the our Assistant Divisional Manager and Clinical Director closely and form the triumvirate leadership team.
The post holder will provide oversight, leadership and management over our outpatient clinics, day surgery unit including theatre and our diagnostic hub.
The post holder will work collaboratively with the Matron at our St Georges site within the South Division and across the trust.
Quality, safety, risks and patient experience will be a key part of your role as well as developing staff and innovating in service delivery at the site.

Main duties of the job
- Providing clinical leadership across areas of responsibility which inspires and motivates others, enabling all department managers to have the authority and autonomy they need to improve the patient experience.
- Being a key member of the management team providing support to staff in ensuring that high quality patient centered care is delivered, providing assurance of this whilst delivering the trusts core objectives and strategies.
- Working within the triumvirate team to develop strategies to ensure continuous improvement initiatives are developed and implemented to provide reassurance that the service meets all quality indicators, key performance Indicators, quality and safety standards and initiatives relating to Croydon directorate.
- Ensuring that nursing teams within the directorate have the appropriate level of knowledge and skills to enable them to provide high quality, evidence based patient care and services.
