Lead the Trust-Wide Capital Equipping Strategy and Oriel Equipping Workstream, Driving Innovation in Eye Healthcare
Are you ready to shape the future of eye healthcare by leading a strategic capital equipping programme that supports cutting-edge research, clinical excellence, and world-class patient care? As Senior Capital Equipping Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering the Trust's capital equipping strategy, while also leading the Oriel Equipping Workstream--a landmark project that will establish a world-leading centre for eye care, research, and education (https://oriel-london.org.uk). Collaborating with University College London (UCL) and Moorfields Eye Charity (MEC), you will oversee the procurement and seamless delivery of essential medical technology, specialist equipment, and key resources, ensuring Oriel is equipped to drive ophthalmic innovation for generations to come.
Main duties of the job
Beyond Oriel, this high-profile role extends across the Trust-wide capital equipping strategy, ensuring that all acquisitions--including clinical and non-clinical equipment, digital technology, and laboratory and research tools--meet the highest standards of clinical excellence, sustainability, and innovation. As the trusted expert in capital equipping, you will guide our procurement partners, engage key stakeholders, and collaborate with suppliers to secure future-proofed solutions that support the Trust's mission of advancing eye care, research, and education. Your leadership will ensure that capital projects across the Trust are equipped to deliver world-class treatments, transformative research, and an unparalleled patient experience.
This is more than a procurement oversight role--it's a career-defining opportunity to lead innovation, shape the future of ophthalmic care, and drive real change in healthcare delivery. If you have expertise in capital equipping and a passion for delivering complex, high-impact healthcare projects, we want to hear from you. Join us and be instrumental in delivering both Oriel and the Trust-wide capital equipping strategy, redefining the future of eye healthcare.
