Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for a dynamic and organised individual to join our Outpatient and Patient Access team at City Road, London.

This post is full time, fixed term maternity cover for 9 months. Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00

Main duties of the job

Are you confident, highly motivated and flexible with excellent communicative skills?

Are you able to work in a busy environment, as part of a team or independently, being organised and maintaining a high-level of accuracy and attention to detail?

Applicants should have previous experience, IT and data management skills, GDPR and Information Governance knowledge.

Job description

Job responsibilities

To manage the administration and virtual reception duties of the virtual consultations platform.

To provide a professional, comprehensive and efficient service to the Trusts outpatient based clinics at City Road and its associated satellite units.

To promote a positive image of the Trusts outpatient services through the provisionof excellent customer service to patients, relatives/carers and external stakeholdersdemonstrating a commitment to putting patient care first.

To ensure high standards of data entry and quality are achieved and sustained across all services, inboth paper and electronic record-keeping.

To ensure adherence to the Trusts Access Policy at all times.

To be responsible and accountable for all virtual consultations booked on the platform fordesignated service or group of services across the trust.

To monitor the platform and ensure all patients are attended to efficiently and accurately. Toensure that any potential issues are escalated according to the Standard Operating Policy.

To work as part of a team on a rota basis and provide cross-cover for other members of staffwithin the team to ensure consistent and effective service is maintained during periods of annualleave and sickness as required.

To undertake basic troubleshooting and escalate more serious issues to your line manager.

To attend and contribute to weekly team meetings, providing reports andanalysis on waiting times and technical or information governance issues experienced.

To build and maintain good working relationships with outpatient colleagues across the trust.
