Job summary

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and inspiring Gynaecology Outpatient Manager who shares our values & vision for the future.

We are looking for a transformational leader to join us as the Manager of our Gynaecology Outpatient Clinics across both the Doncaster and Bassetlaw sites.

In this key leadership position, you will not only provide effective managerial oversight to outpatient services but also inspire excellence within the wider team.

Leading a dedicated group of professionals, you will ensure that every patient receives the highest standard of care in line with local and national guidance. You will support the team to focus on delivering quality patient care and experience, playing a vital role in shaping best practice to enhance patient outcomes.

Your expertise will guide the team in navigating the complexities of Outpatient care, enabling them to deliver timely and compassionate support to patients during their most critical moments

Main duties of the job

Create an environment where the patient is central to all decision making and the delivery of high quality compassionate care is every body's prime objective.

Have overall responsibility for leading and co-ordinating the clinical, managerial and educational requirements of the gynaecology outpatient department. This includes acting as an expert resource to the clinic team and the wider multi-disciplinary team, to support them in the delivery of high-quality patient focused care, and ensuring all staff are work in a professional manner and all registered staff are working as accountable practitioners.

Through effective clinical leadership & role modelling, can inspire, motivate & empower others. This will require the post holder to be highly visible and to have an accessible approach for patients, their relatives/ carers and staff.

To facilitate this, the role is Monday to Friday within core hours (8am-6pm). This may vary, and be subject to review, depending on the speciality service needs.

This is a senior Nursing role within the organisation and there is an expectation that the post holder will fully participate in the clinical and professional leadership within the organisation
