Job summary
We are seeking to appoint a Widening Participation Activity Coordinator to support communication and engagement across the complex portfolios of Education predominately aligned to Widening Participation Portfolio.
Main duties of the job
Working alongside the Education Lead for Widening Participation and Head of Education the Widening Participation Activity Coordinator will lead on allocations & administration activity for all vocational learners external and internal to the Trust, including members of our communities, schools, further and higher education providers and overseas learners in addition to existing colleagues in line with local, regional and national guidance. The post holder will at times be required to work independently and use own initiative in managing workload to ensure all activities are supported, monitored and evaluated.
A requirement of the role will be to develop & maintain clear processes and systems to support the Vocational Education Team in maintaining their online presence by administering the team's extranet and website pages. This will include updating content as well as creating new pages with the help of relevant colleagues. Using a variety of communication methods such as social media, Microsoft teams, face-to-face events and virtual tours, the post holder will be responsible for making a sound judgment on the types of activities required to ensure suitable widening participation learning activities are sourced, capturing planned activities and showcasing these through social media and other platforms.
