Staff Nurse - Medical SDEC

Job summary

Medical SDEC (Same Day Emergency Care) is part of the Division of Urgent & Emergency Care at Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals and provides same day care to patients referred from GPs, A&E, Clinics and Wards. Medical SDEC provides high quality, timely and safe care through a bespoke pathway, helping to reduce length of stay, reduce admissions and improve patient experience.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide support to the Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACP's) within Medical SDEC. Delivering the medical management plans as devised by the ACP team and medical team. Managing blood transfusions, ascetic drains, Intra venous antibiotics therapy, wound dressing. Assisting with patient flow, ordering and chasing take home medications and monitoring patient waiting times.
