Antenatal Clinic Manager

Job summary

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals are looking to recruit a highly skilled, motivated, qualified, and forward-thinking Antenatal Clinic Manager who will provide clinical and operational leadership and management within the Antenatal Clinic. The successful candidate would be expected to be highly visible, demonstrating leadership and the ability to motivate the multi-disciplinary team within the Antenatal Clinic.

To support the successful candidate in the role we have a strong senior leadership team who work collaboratively with the MDT

Support for all staff is provided by our dedicated PMA Team and Professional Development Team

The post holder will be responsible for the management and clinical leadership of the midwifery services and staff within the Antenatal Clinic midwifery team. They will be expected to lead, build and organise others in their actions, and set priorities, objectives and goals within their sphere of responsibility.The post holder will be responsible for the implementation and delivery of evidence-based care within the team ensuring that local peopleand their families have both excellent outcomes and experiences.

The Antenatal Clinic Manager will work clinically within the Antenatal clinics across both sites. With a 40% clinical and 60% management component to the role with flexibility to ensure service needs are met. As a clinical leader and role model you will provide high quality and safe Personcentred, evidence-based midwife led care.

Main duties of the job

The applicant will have excellent organisational and communication skills and ensure that the highest standard of midwifery care is given to all our people and their families. This role requires sound knowledge and experience of maternity services, in particular antenatal care. In addition, the individual must be motivated, caring and compassionate, whilst adhering to the values held by the Trust.

The successful candidate will hold a current registration with NMC and have leadership and management experience along with experience of working in an antenatal setting. The successful candidate will be flexible, able to work under pressure whilst adapting to unpredictable situations.
