Job summary
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Specialty Doctor to join our Dermatology team atDoncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This fixed-term post is designed to support the continued delivery and development of high-quality dermatology services across our three main hospital sites.
The successful candidate will become part of a dynamic and supportive multidisciplinary team comprising:
- 6 Consultant Dermatologists
- 5 Specialty Doctors
- Specialist Dermatology Nurses
You will contribute to outpatient clinics, minor procedures, and collaborative care pathways, ensuring excellent patient outcomes and service continuity.
Main duties of the job
- The successful applicant will be based at Doncaster Royal Infirmary however, you will be expected to contribute to the delivery and development of Dermatology services across all Trust sites.To maintain the highest clinical standards in Dermatological conditions.
- To provide outpatient and minor operative services in Dermatology, including cancer services. To share with colleagues the provision of Dermatology advice to medical and surgical inpatients.
- To work with colleagues, both medical and nursing to improve and advance the service.
- To share with colleagues the responsibility for the management of the Department.
- To share with colleagues the responsibility for teaching and training of trainees, resident medical and nursing colleagues, and medical students.
- To have responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing professional development (CPD).

- MBBS or equivalent
- Completed at least four years' full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee in a relevant specialty, or equivalent experience and competencies
- Must have or be eligible for full registration with the General Medical Council at time of appointment and continue to hold a License to Practise.
