We have an excellent opportunity for an innovative and motivated physiotherapist to join our established Critical Care Physiotherapy team at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.
As a specialist Physiotherapist you will be responsible for managing your own caseload and delivering high quality care to a complex patient group while supporting the development of other members of the team including the wider MDT.
This team provides the physiotherapy input for critical care and surgery and you must be able to demonstrate high levels of communication and time management.
You will be involved in audit, staff supervision and development and will support the Team Lead in operational management and service improvement.

Main duties of the job
The Critical Care and Surgery team supports the patient pathway providing specialist knowledge and services to critically ill patient and those pre and post surgery as required. This includes reviewing unwell patients on the wards to help decision making regarding escalation to DCC, throughout their stay on Critical Care and then liaising with ward staff upon being stepped down.
A flexible and pro-active approach is essential for this post as are excellent team working skills. You should have post-graduate experience in a variety of clinical specialties and be able to motivate patients throughout their journey.
Key responsibilities will include the education and development of staff and students, audit, research and clinical effectiveness as well as service review and evaluation.
You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate not only patients but staff. You must be organised, flexible and able to empower others.
