Job summary
The Doncaster and Bassetlaw Children's Speech and Language Therapy Service is currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic Band 5 or soon to be qualified Speech Language Therapist to be part of our innovative mainstream schools service, which supports children from Year 1 age with language difficulties in school. The post is based in the Doncaster area but could go across the Doncaster and Bassetlaw health communities.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to:
- Provide clinical expertise in supporting the delivery of high standards of therapeutic care for patients within their care / speciality
- Manage own caseload and to provide a high standard of assessment, management, treatment and advice to meet the needs of patients.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in health, social care, local authority and other agencies to meet the needs of patients.
- Ensure the efficient and effective use of resources available within the team.
- Work with other members of the team in the development of the service.
- Ensure Clinical Governance is integral to service delivery within the specialty area.
- Represent the Therapy Team and contribute to the development of the wider Therapy service within Clinical Therapies.
