Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals are able to offer an exciting opportunity to join our Antenatal and Postnatal Ward Team as a ward manager, based at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.
You will:
Create an environment where the patient is central to all decision making and the delivery of high quality compassionate care is every body's prime objective.
Have continuous 24-hour responsibility for leading and co-ordinating the clinical, managerial and educational requirements of a defined clinical area. This includes acting as an expert resource to the team and the wider multi-disciplinary team to support them in the delivery of high quality patient focused care, and ensuring all staff are work in a professional manner and all registered staff are working as accountable practitioners.
Through effective clinical leadership & role modelling be able to inspire, motivate & empower others. This requires you to be highly visible and to have an accessible approach for patients, their relatives/ carers and staff.
Main duties of the job
As leader of a defined clinical area and an expert practitioner, liaise, guide and advise the multi-disciplinary team and external agencies in the provision of optimum patient care.
Be responsible for ensuring the environment and ward processes are responsive to the needs of patients and their carers recognising the importance of privacy, dignity and diversity
