Registered Nursing Degree top up Apprenticeships (Adult)
Apprenticeship Salary annexe 21 - 70% Band 5 first 12 months (£24,206) and 75% for last 6 months (£25,935) - progressing to Band 5 on completion of apprenticeship and registration of NMC whilst undertaking the 12 month apprenticeship.
The Registered Nursing Degree Apprenticeship role offers opportunities for experienced healthcare workers at DBTH to progress into the registered nurse role. This will enable you to be part of an 18 month work based learning programme, delivered in conjunction with the University of Sheffield. As part of the apprenticeship you will have placements across a range of clinical areas to broaden your knowledge and experience along with attending university for your academic theory. Following completion of the apprenticeship the post holder will be expected to complete the DBTH 12-month preceptorship programme to consolidate learning in the Registered Nurse role within DBTH.
You will be required to remain working at DBTH for at least 18 months following your transition into the Registered Nurse role.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for individuals who will have at least 6 months post qualification experience on commencing the programme, following successful completion of either the Assistant Practitioner or Nurse Associate programme and currently be working in that role. If you have a compassionate and caring attitude and are motivated, enthusiastic and committed to developing your career at DBTH then this may be the opportunity for you.
The entry criteria for this role are:
- Candidates must be 18 years old or above
- Have the care certificate or evidence of care experience
- Have Maths and English GCSE C/4 or above or Functional skills level 2
- Prior to commencement of programme you must have already completed the level 5 Assistant Practitioner or the Nursing Associate in an Adult Nursing field.
- Have a minimum of 6 months consolidation in the Assistant Practitioner or Nurse Associate role (by September 2023)
- You must have a supporting referral letter from the university (from where you completed your level 5 course) and a supporting letter of recommendation from your Divisional matron, submitted prior to the advert closing date.
