Job summary
Ambulatory Care is part of the Division of Urgent & Emergency Care at Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals and provides same day care to patients referred from GPs, A&E, Clinics and Wards. ACU provides high quality, timely and safe care through a bespoke pathway, helping to reduce length of stay, reduce admissions and improve patient experience.
Please note this post will include Cross Site Cover for the Ambulatory Care Units.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide support to the Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACP's) in the Ambulatory Care Unit. Delivering the medical management plans as devised by the ACP team and medical team. Managing blood transfusions, ascetic drains, Intra venous antibiotics therapy, wound dressing. Assisting with patient flow, ordering and chasing take home medications and monitoring patient waiting times.
