If so come and visit us in Doncaster where a vacancy has arisen for an enthusiastic radiographer to join our team of Mammographers working within the Doncaster & Bassetlaw Breast Team.
It would be required that you hold a DCR or BSc equivalent in diagnostic radiography and a post graduate qualification in Mammography.
Main duties of the job
Doncaster has embraced the 4 tier model using a mixture of Assistant Practitioners, Mammographers ( with extended roles ) and Advanced Practitioners who perform a mixture of film reading, Interventional Biopsies & Breast Ultrasound. We are committed to role extension and continuing professional development.
The department provides a full symptomatic and breast screening service spread over 3 sites:
- Jasmine Unit at Doncaster Royal Infirmary - Provides 4 Fast Track, 2 Assessment & 2 Surveillance / Family History Clinics per week with recently installed Siemens Inspiration with PRIME Technology soon to be upgraded to state of the art MAMMOMAT Revelation with 50 HD Breast Tomosynthesis to follow soon.
- The Princess Diana Unit at Bassetlaw Hospital in Worksop provides 2 fast track clinics, 2 screening days, 1 assessment & 1 surveillance / family history clinic and is currently having an equipment upgrade to include both the Siemens Inspiration with PRIME & the MAMMOMAT Revelation with 50 HD Breast Tomosynthesis to follow soon.
- Devonshire House is our new dedicated static screening unit close to the centre of Doncaster and railway station where Siemens Inspiration with PRIME Technology is currently being installed. Currently we run screening clinics every day from 8 -4.30pm, Monday - Friday.
