An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Ward Manager in the Division of Medicine on Rehabilitation Ward 1 at Montagu Hospital.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for a forward thinking, positive and motivated Senior Nurse to join our innovative team, with an avid interest in quality improvement. We would like applicants who are interested in developing their leadership skills, managing a15 bedded ward that receives patients from multiple specailties to engage in a very focused rehabilitation programme.
You will be an experienced nurse with clinical credibility and proven track record of service development and improvements in patient care. Senior managerial experience and proven evidence of working with patients who require rehabilitation is essential.
We are looking for someone who will be highly visible in their clinical area, working alongside, and leading the team. Someone who will also maintain high visibility at visiting times to facilitate proactive communication with patients and carers.

You will have a period of induction into the role of ward Manager where you will work alongside the division's Ward Managers and be assigned a buddy ward manager for support. You will be integral to the Multidisciplinary Team acting as patient advocate and providing expert knowledge and guidance. You will also provide supervision and training to peers and junior staff. We are fortunate to have dedicated practice development nurses who facilitate learning across all our wards and support all our staff.
