Job summary
Due to Maternity leave we have a fixed term Band 5 Staff Nurse post in our Dermatology Department at Doncaster And Bassetlaw Teaching hospitals.
The department cares for patients with skin conditions through outpatient clinics, minor procedures and inpatients with dermatological needs. We provide a wide range of nurse led services including dressing clinics, Phototherapy and patch testing
Applicants will be expected to work as a valued team member within the department and be able to work autonomously when required. There will be opportunity for progression and scope to learn a vast number of new skills with supervision and support from highly qualified senior nurses. Dermatology experience would be useful but is not essential as full training will be provided.

Main duties of the job
The Dermatology Department is a dynamic and progressive service with a dedicated and friendly nursing team, fully supported by our team of doctors. We provide a range of day care treatments, including phototherapy, photodynamic therapy, and topical treatments to patients with acute and chronic skin diseases (such as skin cancer and wounds).The service currently operates Monday to Friday and the post holder will be expected work across our 3 sites.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to be supported to develop expertise within this specialty. Experience within a dermatology setting is desirable; however consideration will be given to a candidate who demonstrates a keen interest in developing a career within dermatology and has a proven track record of personal and professional development.
