Job summary
Full time permanent band 7 Theatre Manager for Bassetlaw Theatres. Clinical Specialist Services Division will be recruiting a highly motivated and innovative experienced theatre nurse / Operating Department Practitioner with proven experience of leading / managing within the theatre environment.
The successful candidate will join the current senior team to progress development of the Theatre service with a particular focus on maternity services, orthopaedics, urology, vascular, ophthalmology and general surgery at Bassetlaw NHS Trust.
Recent experience of working within theatres is essential.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a flexible approach to improving theatre outcomes and patient flow across a range of surgical specialties. Proven ability to work in collaboration with a range of clinicians / managers across differing Clinical Divisions is essential. The post holder will be expected to further develop the theatre team in the first assistant role, improving patient flow and enhancing career development opportunities within the theatre environment.
Candidates will be required to have a clear vision for developing the clinical abilities of the workforce and nurturing a highly skilled team across Bassetlaw Theatres. The successful candidate will work in close partnership with the existing senior management team including lead clinician's across a range of specialties, therefore excellent communication skills will be essential.
