Experience

Essential

• Extensive post registration experience in operating services or within speciality
• Competent to assist with a range of invasive procedures
• Experience transferring critically ill patients within and between hospitals
• Evidence of learning and development in line with HCPC/NMC requirements

Desirable

• Experience working within a Critical Care environment

Qualifications

Essential

• City and Guilds 752/ NVQ level 3/ Diploma in operating Department Practice or RGN with anaesthetic or critical care qualification
• ILS
• Teaching/Assessing/Mentoring qualification
• HCPC/NMC registered

Desirable

• Health related degree
• Relevant post-registration qualifications
• ALS

Interpersonal Skills

Essential

• Demonstrate positive verbal and written communication skills with MDT/clients and relatives
• Demonstrate a caring manner with an understanding disposition.
• Flexible and adaptable
• Provide evidence of encouraging a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
• Act as a positive role model to others by means of good attendance, punctuality and smart appearance
