We are a new Core Clinical Services senior leadership team that wants to make a difference for our patients and our people. You will be building upon the work started by the previous postholder and will play a key strategic and operational leadership role in our directorate by leading therapies to deliver innovative and effective care.

Main duties of the job
Due to the current post holder becoming our new Chief AHP, we have an exciting opportunity as Head of Therapies. The role is part of the Senior Leadership Team of the Core Clinical Services (CCS) Directorate. This is a pivotal role in the strategic leadership of our Therapies Services. We seek a motivated individual of high calibre to support the delivery of quality care through operational and clinical leadership. Who will provide overarching senior leadership to the therapy groupings at GOSH including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy and dietetics.
You must be an experienced clinician and operational manager, with post-graduate qualifications with significant experience in professional leadership. As agreed with the CCS Chief of Service, you will lead on various projects and programmes of work across CCS. Working in collaboration with Heads of Profession and senior leadership team to ensure that the role and development of therapies are reflected in both the CCS and Allied Health Professional strategic and operational plans.
You will be responsible and accountable for leading the Therapies Team within the Directorate to embed continuous quality improvement and drive excellent clinical practice delivery to patients, resulting in improved patient outcomes. This will be in line with the directorate objectives, Trust and wider NHS strategy and targets, quality standards, resource controls and constraints.
