Are you a nurturing, enthusiastic childcare professional who is ready to make a lasting difference in little lives? We're looking for a dedicated Nursery Nurse to join our warm and welcoming team at GOSH Day Nursery.
Our nursery is set in a quiet cul-de-sac on Long Yard and benefits from excellent access to nearby parks and outdoor spaces, giving children the opportunity to explore and enjoy outdoor learning every day.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A minimum Level 3 Childcare qualification e.g. NVQ 3, BTEC etc equivalent childcare courses (i.e., must meet the early years educator criteria and be approved by Ofsted)
- Experience working in a busy nursery setting environment with children aged 3 months to 5 years
- A strong understanding of child development and current early years practice
Main duties of the job
As a Nursey Nurse, your key responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a Key Person, building strong and trusting relationships with a small group of children and their families
- Delivering high standards of care and education across the nursery, including learning environment, resources and experiences provided
- Observing, supporting and extending children's learning and development
- Planning and delivering age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
