Job summary
An opportunity has arisen to join our friendly team as a Chief Clinical Physiologist/Scientist in the arrhythmia team. We have 2 positions available, a permanent position and a fixed term contract (end-date 21st Nov 2026). A 10% recruitment and retention premium is included.
The post holder(s) should be able to work independently in complex devices and the cardiac catheter lab. Skills in brady/tachy device troubleshooting, confidence in programming changes and ability to perform device implantation is required.
The individual(s) should have an interest and enthusiasm for transferring their skills to the paediatric setting working alongside other specialists to provide a comprehensive and high-quality service in complex devices and the cardiac catheter lab.
A contribution to other areas within the service will be required when the need dictates: including exercise testing and other ambulatory investigations.

Main duties of the job
This position requires someone with extensive knowledge of arrhythmia management with a focus on cardiac devices and catheter lab. The individual should have an interest and enthusiasm for transferring their skills to the paediatric setting.
They will work alongside other specialists to provide a comprehensive and high-quality service in the cardiac catheter laboratory, device implantation and follow up and electrophysiology. A contribution to other areas within the service will be required when the need dictates: including exercise testing and other ambulatory investigations.
The post holder should be someone who is willing to challenge themselves tackling complex cardiac abnormalities, inherited cardiac conditions, and cardiac imaging.
