Job summary

This post is suitable for a doctor who has completed their core training in general paediatrics and has additional training in paediatric Haematology/Oncology and/or BMT who wishes to gain more in-depth experience of paediatric Haematology/Oncology and BMT in a large busy unit. All post are accredited as training posts and will help the appointee gain for further career progression.

The post is a full time appointment, but applications from doctors wishing to work on a part-time basis as part of a job share will be considered.

The post cross covers the International Private Patient wards at GOSH to help support the patients within Haematology / Oncology and BMT who are private patients.

Main duties of the job

12-24 months - fixed term

We are proud to announce an opportunity to join the largest paediatric oncology, haematology and Bone marrow transplant fellowship program in the UK. Our program is designed to cater to the needs of paediatric specialists with a minimum of 12 months experience in haematology and/or oncology, who are looking to expand their knowledge, hone their skills, and become experts within the field.

Our program offers a comprehensive curriculum with expert mentorship from our esteemed faculty, providing experience that prepares you for a fulfilling career in paediatric oncology, haematology and/or bone marrow transplantation. Our fellowship program is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children suffering from cancer. At the end of the program our fellows will possess a well-rounded and in-depth understanding of the latest advances in oncology and haematology. They will also be equipped with the skills to provide care of patients undergoing bone marrow transplants and understand their conditioning, choice of donor and managing complication from treatment.

Our program offers a unique blend of hands-on clinical training, research opportunities and interactive learning experiences. Our faculty is dedicated, compassionate, and committed to providing the highest level of care to our patients.
