Job summary
The Plastic Surgery and Craniofacial Services at Great Ormond Street Hospital areseeking a competent and dedicated individual to join our administrative team as Referrals & Data Quality Administrator to work within the Sight & Sound Directorate.Previous administrative experience with proven ICT skills which include the use of Microsoft applications is essential, as is the ability to work under pressure withaccuracy and attention to detail.You should be able to work to deadlines & targets, supporting the 18 week patient pathway whilst demonstrating excellent communication & organisational skills. You will be working as part of a team and closely with Medical Secretaries and the Assistant Service Manager.We are a friendly and welcoming team, working with the multidisciplinary clinicalteams to provide a high standard of service to our patients, parents & carers.
Main duties of the job
- Assist with telephone enquiries from parents and staff in a polite, courteous, helpful and confidential manner
- Register new patients upon receipt of referral, cross checking EPIC & NHS Spine to ensure there are no duplicate registration
- Monitor ERS (Electronic Referrals System) daily and process incoming GP referrals within 24 hours of receipt
- To be aware of and adhere to the Patient Access Policy
- Check patient demographics (address, contact numbers, GP & ethnicity) are accurate and updated
- Collecting / distributing post
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to exercise diplomacy and exceptional telephone manner
