A fantastic opportunity to provide specialist Pharmacy Services to the Immunology speciality.
This role involves developing the clinical Pharmacy Service to Immunology, with some crossover with Rheumatology, Dermatology and Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) specialities. As medicines become more complex, you will play a pivotal role in the safe introduction and management of medicines including Immunoglobulins, Immunotherapy, Monoclonal Antibodies and Gene Therapy.
You will be an individual with proven experience in a Hospital Pharmacy setting with extensive experience working in a clinical role. Some experience of Immunology, Dermatology or Rheumatology patients would be desirable. Due to the large cohort of Immunology patients undergoing bone marrow transplants, BOPA SACT competency accredited would be an advantage. You will also have excellent communication skills, a commitment to patient care and experience of directorate working including managing high-cost drugs and contributing to clinical guidelines and protocols.

Main duties of the job
To act as the Specialist Pharmacist for Immunology
To provide clinical pharmacy services to Immunology patients across the Trust
To provide cross-cover to Dermatology, Rheumatology and Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT), when required
To assist in the development of clinical guidelines and policies to ensure the safe and effective use of medicines and advanced therapies
To oversee the day-to-day management of the IvIg database and ensure prescribing is compliance with immunoglobulin Clinical Commissioning policy
To manage and support the development of junior members of the team
To assist in the development and ongoing monitoring of Key Performance Indicators relating to Immunology
