Job summary

We are looking to recruit an outstanding, experienced and motivated Dietitian to lead the Dietetics Service at Great Ormond Street Hospital, ensuring high quality and innovative practice is provided.

As the Head of Dietetics, you will be responsible for the strategic direction, clinical leadership and overall operational performance for the service and provide professional leadership to all dieticians.

You will play a pivotal role in overseeing and advancing our Dietetics Department, including our Special Feeds Unit and Diet Kitchen. Your expertise and leadership will shape the provision of nutritional care throughout our organisation, ensuring the delivery of evidence-based practices and exceptional patient outcomes.

Main duties of the job

This role retains 0.2 WTE clinical work and you would be expected to be an inspirational Dietitian with demonstrable extensive experience of Paediatric Dietetics and effective collaborative leadership skills, to maintain and deliver a world-class expert Dietetic Service.

The Dietetics Department has a commitment to clinical research strategy and you would support and have oversight of research opportunities, continuing the department's high output of clinical audit and service evaluation to ensure cutting edge evidence based dietetic practice.

You will have excellent communication and influencing skills, leadership experience working across a broad range of services and have worked successfully with other professionals and service users. You will be a highly motivated leader with proven improvement experience.
