An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Research Coordinator to join our dynamic research team in the NIHR Great Ormond Street Clinical Research Facility/UCL GOS Institute of Child Health. Our diverse Research and Innovation directorate provides a high quality clinical and academic research environment, in which children and young people can take part in research programmes safely and effectively, according to robust and ethically approved protocols.

Main duties of the job
In this role, you will work as a skilled member of the team, providing a high standard of coordination and data collection for a portfolio of studies being undertaken. With support from the clinical team, you will lead on the co-ordination and planning of several research studies, providing vital administrative support and acting as a key link for patients and their families. You will be actively involved in the recruitment process, including receiving patient consent. You will also be responsible for ensuring adherence to research legislation, working with the clinical team and the Research and Development Office to ensure timely submission of all relevant documentation.
Part of this role will also include supporting the radiology department in coordinating medical risk reviews during study set-up, to ensure any radiation exposure is safe and ethical. You will also be responsible for submitting capacity requests to the department for new trials and study amendments, providing radiology assessment costs when requested and booking appointments.
