An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Connect Team to support an 18 month 'Thrive' programme focused on maximizing the utilisation of our Epic EPR system, across multiple clinical specialities, within GOSH.
GOSH is one of the most digitally advanced Trusts in the UK and in Europe, accredited with the first HIMSS level 7 Hospital in Europe for Outpatients. To help us to achieve this vision, we are embarking on an accelerated programme across 18 months ensuring that our clinical and administrative staff are supported to maximise the use of our Epic EPR. This role will have the responsibility for ensuring all the specialities receive their designated 'Thrive' sprint involving observations, configuration and individualised training in a timely way organising resources across the wider team as required.
Reporting to the Thrive Programme manager and working with our EPR training lead you will jointly lead a team of analysts and trainers to deliver the speciality sprints maximizing the use of Epic. This post will require organisation coordination and providing a point of escalation for arising issues across the team. Technical knowledge of the Epic applications would be desirable.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate must have a strong track record in rolling out EPR's and supporting optimisation. It would be desirable for the candidate to have experience of Scrum methodology and Epic configuration in any application.
You will be able to demonstrate expert knowledge and experience of support the optimisation of an EPR through the efficient deployment of configuration and personalised training working with a variety of stakeholders across the Trusts.
You should be experienced in managing projects, or areas within complex working environments and supporting change programmes. You will be expected to present highly complex build work (EPR software) in an easy-to-understand format to individuals and/or large groups of Programme and/or Trust staff, including at senior and director level. Much of this work requires close collaborative and co-ordinated working with a range of colleagues across the Trusts, including the Connect EPR team, and with EPR supplier Epic.
Post-pandemic our team will continue to work flexibly with a combination of remote and office based working days.
