Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit an exceptional Lead Clinical Site Practitioner (CSP) to join our Clinical Operations team at Great Ormond Street Hospital Foundation Trust.

We are seeking an inspirational, enthusiastic and compassionate leader, who will use their knowledge, and experience, to ensure high quality and safe child and family centred care in an environment of ongoing learning, innovation and improvement.

As Lead CSP, you will have significant experience at a senior nursing level in a relevant area. You will provide kind, effective, visible leadership and be a positive role model for the teams you manage, the Clinical Site Practitioners and the Vascular Access Facilitators and further promote their crucial roles.With excellent communication skills you will establish your credibility at all levels and be able to quickly build relationships within your own team and the wider organisation. Working with and supported by the Clinical Site Director, the post holder will help ensure an open and engaging culture for patients and staff that encourages excellence in clinical practice, facilitates team working and multi professional care delivery.

Main duties of the job

Reporting directly to the Clinical Site Director and working as a key part of the Clinical Operations team, the post holder will manage and developthe Clinical Site Practitioners (CSP) and the Venous Access Facilitators (VAF) to form an effective clinical site team in and out of hours coveringthe Trust. This will support and enable the clinical Directorates to deliver effective and efficient safe care in a supportive environment.

This role will be pivotal in delivering operational efficiencies whilst ensuring the provision of effective high quality services. The post holder willimprove performance within available resources, working with the CSP and the VAF team, taking full regard of all professional views andfacilitating the development and improvement of the two teams.

Working with the Clinical Site Director the post holder will be expected to support the development of an open and engaging culture for patientsand staff that encourages excellence in clinical practice, facilitates team working and multi professional care delivery.
