Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Endocrinology
(0.6 LTFT post Equivalent of Specialist Trainee 6+)
Basic salary £54468-64288 per annum
This is a 1-year Clinical Fellow post at 0.6 Less Than Full Time where you will be able to gain tertiary/ quaternary experience in Paediatric Endocrinology in the unique and supportive environment of Great Ormond Street Hospital. As a valued member of the team you will be included in the educational and training activities of the unit and will be offered study leave. Clinical research, audit and quality improvement activities will also be encouraged. There will be opportunity to undertake specialty Endocrine clinics, attend postgraduate education sessions, Grand Rounds and local and national Multidisciplinary Team meetings.
We are looking for a motivated, full time Clinical Fellow to join the Endocrinology Department. This post is available to start from March 2025 for 12 months on a fixed term basis.
The post will provide an excellent experience for someone wishing to train in Paediatric Endocrinology. Full MRCPCH (or equivalent) and previous middle grade dedicated experience in General Paediatrics/ Neonates (2+ years) in the UK or similar English-speaking healthcare system at middle grade level is essential. Please note this post is not recognised for UK training and is not equivalent to GRID training.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as part of a team covering the clinical aspects and day-to day running of the Endocrinology services during the day time Monday to Friday. Out of hours, the post holder will be covering long days (Endocrinology), weekends, as well as night on call commitments as part of a Hospital at Night team (both as part of a Medical Specialities Middle Grade rota in a general paediatrics capacity).
