Our In-house Bank Service helps deploy temporary administrative workers across the hospital to support with staffing shortfalls. By joining the Admin and Clerical GOSH Bank, you are able to develop your skills and knowledge. As a Bank worker, you will be a key team member, supporting the departments in the hospital in one or more of the following roles:
If you are an experienced Administrator, Coordinator, Advisor, Ward Clerk, Receptionist, Secretary, or HR or Finance Assistant, or have relevant excellent prior administration experience, we would love to hear from you.
Hospital Based Administrators: You will be customer facing and are likely to be stationed in one of our clinical wards so being always helpful is essential. Accuracy and speed are essential as well as IT skills.
Admin Assistants, Medical Secretaries & PAs: You will support a team of doctors and consultants so an excellent telephone manner, a keen eye for detail, highly organised and be a dependable team player.
Ward Administrators, Booking Coordinators and Receptionists: You will help book patients' appointments so an excellent telephone manner is essential.
Office Administrators in Finance, HR, Non-Clinical departments:Bring your strong organisational skills and ability to work to strict deadlines.
Main duties of the job
As a Bank worker, your work will help ensure that we are making a difference to the lives of the children that we care for and support our colleagues who are at the front line of providing their care.
Our roles are varied and challenging and your day to day duties may include;
- Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the hospital including the provision of administrative support to clinical staff .
- Provide administrative support non clinical areas such as Finance, HR
- Helping track our patients through their journey to ensure a great patient experience
- Supporting the Senior Administrators including typing of clinical correspondence and adding patients to waiting lists
- Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way
To be able to hit the ground running from day 1, you'll need to evidence;
- Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Flexible and adaptable to change
- Customer Service experience in Retail or customer facing environment
- Attention to detail
- Proactive and ability to use initiative
