Research fellow in Paediatrics Dermatology (ST5+) working in Paediatric Dermatology Department 17 months full time position

No on-call commitments

Based in the Department of Paediatric Dermatology at Great Ormond Street Hospital

This post presents an exciting opportunity for a paediatrician/paediatric trainee grade/paediatric middle grade who is post MRCPCH and wishes to acquire unique experience in Paediatric Dermatology in this unique and supportive environment at Great Ormond Street Hospital.This is a new post aimed for a training doctor who wishes to acquire unique experience in a subspecialty of dermatology and the unique opportunities to take part in research and the running of a novel stem cell clinical trial.

The main clinical duties of the post holder will involve working alongside Dr Martinez & Dr Petrof and the other research fellows and the EB Clinical nurse specialists managing children with skin fragility disorders and other conditions both as out patients and in-patients settings.

This unique post will also include running clinical trials of novel therapies in the Clinical Research Facilities. In addition there will be training and many opportunities to present cases, write papers and get involved in clinical and the academic side of this dynamic subspecialty.

Main duties of the job
