We are seeking a motivated individual to join our enthusiastic and friendly teams in the BMT and Immunology departments as Quality Manager. The Departments are two of the largest paediatric units in the country with national and international recognition in many of the specialist services it provides. You will be working as part of the team in our Blood, Cells and Cancer Division. You will be providing high-level quality assurance support to consultants, junior doctors and clinical nursespecialists.

In addition to support from the Cell Therapy Laboratory Manager you will also be supported by the Trust Quality and Audit Teams.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will be a key member of the Quality management team, they will help maintain the QM System as well as leading and supporting Quality management initiatives. In developing and implementing governance and regulatory frameworks and processes, they will continuously monitor and improve the quality of care that we provide. The post holder will also be expected to fulfill QM training responsibilities, complete audits, manage document control and support various quality and clinical governance meetings.

The post-holder will play a central role in ensuring BMT/CART unit adheres to JACIE standards and in preparation for four yearly physical inspections and mid-accreditation audit inspections. JACIE is an international standard for Haemopoietic Cellular Therapy covering treatment's Clinical, Collection and Processing aspects. GOSH has been accredited since 2014, with CART added in 2018, and recently had our second reaccreditation inspection.
