Job summary

We are advertising for a skilled and experienced MRI radiographer to join our dedicated CMR team on a fixed term one year basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced MRI radiographer who would like to learn and specialise in cardiac MRI imaging in both adults and children with congenital cardiac diseases as well as inherited cardiovascular diseases, pulmonary hypertension and aortopathies.

The post holder will be a clinical CMR radiographer who will work a 37.5 hours, 4 days per week, with a rotating rostered day off each week. The role encompasses clinical responsibilities as well as participating and supporting research between Monday to Friday.

As a cardiac MRI radiographer you will work very closely with the cardiologists and radiologists to optimise established protocols for specific cardiac conditions, be committed and independent to personal CPD, be up to date with MRI safety issues including scanning active devices, follow strict safety protocols for administration of contrast agents for high risk patients and collaborate with their fellow radiographers to deliver cutting edge cardiac imaging to make a meaningful impact on patient care.

We are inviting applicants who have extensive MRI experience who can easily work in a small, multidisciplinary team with paediatric patients and adults who have a positive and professional attitude and helpful and flexible outlook to the working day.

Main duties of the job

To work as a specialist cardiac radiographer in a dedicated, cardiac MRI team within a paediatric tertiary referral centre, providing an expert, world class service in cardiac MRI imaging for paediatric and adult patients.
