An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as a Contracts & Invoicing Manager within the Space & Place Directorate at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
The role will work with the service leads within Space & Place to develop our contracts database, collating all existing agreements and be the first point of contact of all procurement of new and expiring agreements.
Our Estates Team manages a large number of equipment maintenance/service contracts on behalf of the Trust for the Space & Place Directorate. The post holder will support this work with Engineering staff, key stakeholders, external organisations, individuals and equipment manufacturers to ensure that these contracts are compliantly procured and robustly performance managed once in place to provide value for money and high-quality services.
The successful candidate will also work closely with our Accounts Payable Team to setup and be the subject matter expert for the management for the process that ensures all contractors and suppliers are paid promptly and correctly.
Main duties of the job
- The post holder will develop and monitor all associated contractual KPIs, leading on contractual performance management and advising the Senior Estates Operations Manager and Associate Director of Estates & Compliance on contracts that are failing, negotiating with external service managers and developing improvement criteria to guide contractors on how to resolve poor performance.
- The successful candidate will work with a wide range of staff members, employing a wide range of communication and negotiation techniques to ensure the success of all agreements within our hard services portfolio.
- The post holder will work closely with our Trust Contracts Manager, Procurement and Finance teams to ensure the Trust database is populated and updated where necessary and to ensure that reminders are sent for renewal in time to allow re-tendering or, as appropriate, extension or planned expiry.
