We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Surgical Ward Manager to co-lead Chameleon ward, a place where exceptional care meets innovation and surgical brilliance.
Main duties of the job
As the Surgical Ward Manager, you will be responsible for:- Providing quality care for children and families, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.- Overseeing ward operations, staff management, and ensuring adherence to high standards of nursing and patient care.- Advocating for patients and families, ensuring effective communication and support services.- Developing and maintaining clinical skills and knowledge within the specialty.- Leading by example, challenging discriminatory behaviours, and promoting inclusivity.- Managing resources within the agreed budget, including staffing and bed capacity.- Fostering an environment conducive to learning, enquiry, and research.
