Our patients vary in complexity and acuity, ranging from day case to high dependency care, so you will develop an impressive repertoire of clinical and leadership skills.

You will be provided with support from an inhouse education team and a dedicated nursing mentor who will work alongside you, helping you gain competence and confidence. You will have the opportunity to take part in bespoke developmental programs, including options, if you wish, to rotate across all areas/specialties within I&PC. We'll also provide a structured developmental pathway to assist with your career progression.

Main duties of the job

We are currently recruiting for Staff Nurse (Band 5) and Senior Staff Nurse (Band 6) into:

  • Bumblebee & Hedgehog wards:These are our mixed specialty wards with a wide range of clinical specialties incorporating medicine and surgery. Patients here are complex and will generally be needing care for multiple conditions often requiring novel treatments and procedures.
  • Butterfly ward:Predominantly caters for patients with Haematology/Oncology/Immunology conditions and provides Bone Marrow Transplants, Thymus transplants, Gene Therapy, and many of the newer immunotherapy treatments.
