We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our amazing nursing team on Panther Urology Ward to help provide a high standardof nursing care and deliver a positive patient experience. We are seeking ambitious driven nurses to join us in a Urology centre of excellence.
Panther Ward is an 11 bedded ward that cares for patients up to 25 years of ageundergoing urological procedures. Our patients vary in complexity and acuity, ranging from day case to high dependency care; you will develop an impressive repertoire of clinical and leadership skills.
Panther Urology Ward provides a positive nurse led working culture, with safe staffing levels (nursing ward ratios are on average 1 nurse to 2 patients) that enables you to do your job well, supporting your professional & academic development
As aStaff Nurse in our team, your contributions will be valued and recognised. Our education team will provide you with a comprehensive induction, 1.1 clinical support, and the opportunity to undertake The Fundamentals of Urology course and to help develop your speciality knowledge.
We are passionate about supporting your career development with the opportunity to attend regular teaching sessions, specialist study days and university modules.
Main duties of the job
We welcome applications adult or Learning disability nurses who may have experience in a urology setting who wish to explore transferring into a paediatric setting or paediatric nurses looking to develop into a speciality.
The role will involve communicating with a range of professionals, delivering high standards of patient care in a timely manner, and problem solving.
This is a great opportunity to be a role model for other staff and be a preceptor and mentor to students and new starters.
