Job summary

Great Ormond Street Hospital is a world class centre for blood and marrow transplantation of children with a wide range of malignant, haematological, immunological, metabolic and rheumatological conditions. In addition, it has a world class programme of translational research in gene and other cellular based therapies.

The Cell Therapy Laboratory supports clinical work by providing a routine service to the Trust, manipulating, or freezing, blood and bone marrow for transplantation in a specialized clean room facility. We also assist research scientists with scale up work and clinical trial preparation. We work closely with many other specialities within the Camelia Botnar Laboratories, particularly the Immunology laboratory.

The successful candidate will provide support to Healthcare scientists in all of these areas under their supervision. Applicants will ideally have laboratory experience, possess a higher education qualification in a biological science and be computer literate.

Main duties of the job

To provide laboratory and administrative support to the Cell therapy and Immunology laboratories under the supervision of the HCPC registered staff.
