Job summary
Our Employee Services Desk is the heart of the HR and OD team. Providing transaction and advisory HR support on all stages of the employee lifecycle, employee changes on ESR, pay related changes and manage all compliance monitoring.
The team is also responsible for the managing the honorary contract process which includes the on boarding and ongoing monitoring of our sizable honorary workforce.
Main duties of the job
Your duties will include but not limited to:
- Ensure the provision of a confidential, professional and timely first line HR transactional support and guidance to maintain a customer focused HR service across the Trust
- To administer pre-engagement checks for Honorary contract holders, for both medical and general recruitment, within agreed procedures, time-frames and standards
- Produce and issue HR documents and letters as required, checking the information is up-to-date
- To manage team mailboxes ensuring the enquiries are dealt with efficiently and in a timely manner
About you:
With previous HR and customer service experience, excellent telephone manner and strong rapport building skills, you will thrive working in a high volume, fast-paced environment. You will have the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and a proactive approach to your work. A good working knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is essential. Experience of using TRAC and ESR would be an advantage.
It's a rewarding role that can be challenging and calls for an innovative approach to work, would require strong knowledge of NHS terms and conditions, HR process excellence and a proficiency in IT.
