Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic Band 5 Christian Chaplain to work at three days/week as a part of our multi-faith Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care team providing care to our patients, families and carers and staff.

Main duties of the job
1.To be a Christian Team Chaplain in the department of spiritual care which provides for the pastoral, spiritual, ethical and religious needs of patients, staff and visitors and, where applicable, students within the Trust.2. To have appropriate faith community training and a specialised knowledge of own faith community religious traditions and to be willing to learn about other faith traditions and religions and spiritual, cultural and ethical issues relating to healthcare.3. To provide care for the religious and spiritual needs of Christian and generic patients including assisting in maintaining 24/7 cover (and to provide alternative cover for annual leave or other periods of absence).4. To be authorised and in good standing with the appropriate denomination of the Christian Church and have the appropriate ecclesiastical endorsement.
