Job summary

The Data and Performance Analyst will play a key role in supporting the GLH leadership team to manage the performance of all laboratories across the GLH, by working to implement consistent measurement and monitoring of KPIs and quality metrics, and ensuring statutory returns are delivered to a high standard.

Main duties of the job

  • To lead on the development, management and maintenance of relevant internal databases
  • Working closely with clinical and admin teams to improve performance against local and national data requirements - This includes training, monitoring, documentation redesign and support
  • To lead on National Data submissions
  • Diagnose and investigate technical problems methodically, applying appropriate tests and gathering sufficient information to enable the delivery of robust solutions
  • To lead on the development, collection, analysis and reporting of data for dashboards, quality monitoring KPIs and clinical outcomes
  • Cultivate strong working relationships with stakeholders across the GLH and promote the use of data in the context of performance management
  • To lead in devising policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure that data quality is continuously improved and maintained
  • To ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act, NHS data definitions and reporting standards
  • To work to achieve agreed objectives and outcomes, acting autonomously and using initiative and motivation whilst working within broad professional principles and policies.
