Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust is a national and international centre of excellence. An opportunity has arisen to join our friendly team as a Clinical Physiologist with responsibility to perform Echocardiography in the Cardiac Physiology Department at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Cardiac Physiologists/Clinical scientist to work in an exciting and dynamic environment, to support and help define our growing Echocardiography service. The successful candidate will perform Echocardiography in children with a large spectrum of congenital, inherited and acquired heart conditions.

The post holder will be someone who is willing to challenge themselves and be prepared to develop their echocardiography skills in one of the leading paediatric echo departments in Europe, tackling complex cardiac abnormalities, and working with leading authorities on congenital heart disease, inherited cardiac conditions, and cardiac imaging.

Main duties of the job

A band 7 post holder should hold either the European Accreditation in Echocardiography in Congenital Heart Disease (under the umbrella of European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging) or the British society of echocardiography accreditation in adult transthoracic echocardiography. Paediatric experience is not essential, however experience with complex adult CHD would be necessary.
