Job summary

Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children is undertaking an exciting period of transformational change. An extensive strategic investment in Information and Communications Technology systems is underway including a Cisco medical grade network, Video collaboration, an Electronic Patient Record and eDocument Management System. The Hospital campus itself is being renewed with a large scale re-development programme bringing world class facilities to both clinicians and patients.

The global reputation and reach of GOSH as a leading children's hospital, is expanding rapidly opening up new partnerships including those in the Middle East, with offices already open in Healthcare City, Dubai and Kuwait.

Main duties of the job

As the Rostering Advisor, the post holder will be expected to provide support to managers, clinicians and other service users across the Trust with the Allocate HealthRoster suite. A majority of the GOSH's staff groups have been implemented, with the remaining groups being medics and a small number of administrative areas. Working initially in support of the completion of the implementation process as units are rolled out, the Rostering Advisor will play a key role in ensuring the efficient management of rosters. This will include being able to build, amend and analyse rosters for various different staff groups, supporting service users with training and BAU as a whole.

Acting as expert users of HealthRoster they will proactively monitor the system to identify concerns as well as being responsible for the production of regular performance and benefits realisation reports. They will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of any interfaces and linkages between the rostering system and other workforce systems. Working with colleagues, they will ensure that helpdesk support is available and training on the system is delivered as required.
