Job summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual who is looking to broaden their senior NHS experience of operational management within a diverse directorate.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain senior operational experience and further develop strategic skills across a complex range of services.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong operational management and performance background. We are looking for an innovative, inspirational leader who is passionate about supporting the delivery of high-quality clinical services.

Main duties of the job

The Deputy General Manager will work closely with the General Manager, Chief of Service, Deputy Chief of Service and Head of Nursing to deliver the operational and strategic goals for the directorate.

The role will involve overseeing the operational functions within the directorate, supporting service managers and clinical leads. You will be responsible for the delivery of operational targets, lead projects, support quality improvement and engage with external stakeholders. You will have strong communication skills and have the ability to take a solutions driven approach to complex problems.
