Band 3 Health Care Assistant - Continence Specialist Nursing Team

Full Time | Northamptonshire

Are you a compassionate, proactive Health Care Assistant looking to develop your skills within a friendly and highly specialist community nursing service? Our Continence Specialist Nursing Team in Northamptonshire is expanding, and we're looking for a motivated Band 3 Health Care Assistant to join us.

About the Role

As a key member of our Continence Team, you will support Specialist Nurses in delivering high-quality, person-centred continence care to adults across Northamptonshire. You'll work closely with patients, carers, and other health professionals to promote dignity, wellbeing, and independence.

This is a rewarding opportunity to build specialist knowledge, enhance clinical skills, and contribute to improving the quality of life for people with bladder and bowel conditions.

As this role is county-wide, you will need to have a full UK driving licence along with use of a car.

Interviews will be held in Northampton and they will be conducted face to face.

Main duties of the job

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting the delivery of continence assessments and personalised care plans
  • Carrying out basic clinical tasks in line with competency frameworks
  • Providing education, advice, and reassurance to patients and carers
  • Assisting with continence product provision and reviews
  • Maintaining accurate electronic patient records
  • Working collaboratively within a supportive multidisciplinary team

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant (Band 2 or 3)
  • A caring, patient-focused approach and excellent communication skills
  • Confidence working independently in community settings after training
  • Willingness to develop enhanced skills in continence care
  • Ability to travel throughout Northamptonshire
